Gamo Hornet Maxxim Review – 1st Impressions

OK…I have had my Gamo Hornet Maxxim for a few weeks and although I have not shot it that much, I wanted to give you my thoughts so far.

Let’s start with the stock….

The butt section is nicely designed, ambidextrous with a great recoil pad. It fits me very nicely and is made of a very durable polymer. Oh…it also looks great.

The grip section and trigger areas are very ergonomic with textured areas in places where it is needed. Nicely done and very functional. I like it. …and by the way the trigger is excellent!

The Gamo Hornet forend is textured for a very non-slip grip. The width of the forend is perfect…not too wide and not too skinny. The entire stock feels very sturdy. The synthetic stock makes the Gamo Hornet weight perfect at around 7 lbs with scope. I like pellet guns to be from 5-8 lbs in weight.

So far, I really love the Gamo Hornet Maxxim pellet gun. The break barrel is VERY smooth and pretty easy to cock. If you want a great .22 cal break-barrel pellet gun for hunting or target shooting, then take a serious look here…Gamo Hornet Maxxim .22 cal Pellet Gun with 3-9×40 mm scope at Amazon.com
